Mr. Tinkham was a founding partner of the Indianapolis law firm of Sommer Tinkham Barnard and Freiberger, a law firm which grew to more than 300 lawyers.

Mr. Tinkham has more than four decades of experience in all phases of corporate law, principally involving corporate purchases, sales, financing and refinancing. He counsels corporations relating to the legal and financial complexities of growing, acquiring (or being acquired), staying alive and, in many cases, beginning.

Mr. Tinkham’s past projects included the development of Market Square Arena in Indianapolis, an 18,000 seat sports complex funded with investor, mortgage and revenue bond financing. As an owner of the Indiana Pacers, Mr. Tinkham negotiated, on behalf of the American Basketball Association, the historic merger agreement with the National Basketball Association. He was elected President of the ABA in 1974.

Mr. Tinkham is a member of the Indiana Bar and a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
